The Solar Portal is a prototype of a small urban structure equipped with photovoltaic cells. Solar energy powers a charger with a display, lighting and an interactive multimedia installation. Its architectural form draws on the archetypes of a gateway and amphitheatre seating.
It is an artistic statement about the connections between people, the sun and the Earth. It aims to build awareness of individual responsibility for the environment and the importance of renewable energy.
The portal was created through cooperation between people with a shared aim. It is accompanied by the online campaign #wybieramslonce.
