Pszczela Hala
Design & Equipment

Pszczela Hala is a project for a place in the mountains devoted to nature conservation, artistic activities and education.

It occupies two hectares of meadow on a ridge below Trzonka in the Beskid Mały mountains. A highland cottage, over 100 years old, has been adapted for outdoor activities and meetings.

The project provides simple infrastructure for children’s workshops about the role of bees and balance in nature. It also serves walkers seeking thoughtful recreation and contemplation of the landscape.

“Only if we understand, can we care” — Jane Goodall wrote about chimpanzees, but the words can also apply to other organisms. Protecting bees requires education. Bees are engaging subjects for educational activities. Research indicating declining pollinator populations has brought them greater attention in schools and extracurricular activities.
